A funny thing happened on the way to Vietnam

We checked in together, all as one great clan.

The flight was speedy, ahead of its time

A perfect trip with no one to whine.

But when we landed in Hanoi -it is true

One bright aqua-colored suitcase didn’t make it through.

It was the bag of my brother-in-law Benny , our dear chap,

Who was celebrating his bday—what an unexpected birthday mishap!

He filed the report with a smile, calm and so bright,

And politely requested the bag be sent that night.

To Sapa -A place near the mountain’s high shelf

We wondered if the luggage would have to walk there itself!

Pretty Michelle bought him clothes, saying, “He needs something to wear!”

But what happened next was beyond compare.

His suitcase arrived the very next day perfectly

We suddenly spotted an aqua maleta being wheeled in the lobby

With special delivery- what can we say

What a gift that certainly brightened up our day!

We teased him jovially —with new clothes and his old bag in tow

He could now swim at the pool at the posh Hotel de la Coupole ,

And let his four sets of trunks take a bow!

How grateful Benny is for this

He continues his birthday bash with even more prayers and bliss!
