African Continent

The Big Five animals in Botswana’s safari I saw here,

And since then, I knew there was no reason to fear.

The mighty Victoria Falls in Zambia so true—

I thought I was fetched by heaven anew.

The rainbows danced with mist in the air,

A spectacle so vivid, beyond all compare.

They painted the sky with magical art,

Each color a thread that tugged at my heart.

The wildebeest migration was a mighty roar,

One of my bucket list dreams I had in store.

South Africa has other treasures—

Vineyards, Table Mountain, and white lions are unforgettable pleasures.

I can’t find my heart, no matter how I try,

Why? I left it with the sunsets and wide orange open sky.

In Africa’s arms I left it where?

My soul still lingers there

Many thanks to A2A safaris for arranging our trip
