We drove past skies kissed by the orange sun,
The breeze was light, the day was fun.
A herd of buffaloes crossed our way,
A surreal moment — almost biblical, I’d say.
It felt theatrical as they came so near,
Laughter, smiles, and curious cheer.
Like Indiana Joneses, we trooped through the groove,
Keeping silent so the lions wouldn’t move.
Then elephants rose from the river wide,
And made our hearts feel full inside.
We didn’t see the lions today,
They simply chose not to play.
But tomorrow, as they always say—
Maybe they’ll roar another day.
