Capetown by the sea: How can you not fall in love with thee?

Cape Town is as lovely as can be,

We scoured through history, golf, and poetry.

Cheetah compounds and Table Mountain anew,

Its tranquil beauty gave serenity a view.

The Twelve Apostles and Devil’s Peak today

Were cloaked in mist in their own special way.

Then the lovely hotels—Silo and One&Only—

A beauty too grand for words, if only.

Robben Island stood quiet yet bold,

And all through the stories, both untold and told,

It was our dearest guide and new friend Rachid , who shared

The truth behind each memory spared.

And that parting dinner—so tender, so said—

In One & Only’s Roooi meaning red

So much was felt, yet so much unsaid,

A farewell of warmth where hearts were led.

A strand of poetry, my Cape Town by the sea—

How can one not simply… fall in love with thee ?
