Patagonia

Patagonia I see you in my dreams,

How the sun shines in the snow that gleams.

The icy cascade envelopes my soul, you see,

As the howling wind moves the ambient tree.

The iceberg of millions of years crashes in front of me,

I realize what took eternity blasts down for all to see.

The air is crisp and a breath of many a fallen leaf,

I pray in stillness on this hallowed sheave.

My humble self lifts prayers to the sky,

Beneath the silhouette of mountains that won’t die.

I don’t know if I should be mesmerized with glee.

For we are but a speck of immortality

That comes alive before my eyes,

And I know that the One above is truly wise;

Nature knows no time or space,

But Patagonia can only be appreciated in its rightful place.
