Magical moments blur dreams and reality. This magic allows us to wonder about what is really possible in this universe. I experienced one of those moments when I was introduced to a different kind of extravagance—the Lakambini Villa in the ultra-posh The Farm at San Benito. The Farm’s top- tier marketing duo welcomed us to this award-winning wellness haven, which has earned over 100 recognitions from all over the world. From the latest special massages and detox treatments to medical consultations, meal planning, and nutrition enhancement—plus a bevy of other new health modalities—The Farm proves to be a medical retreat in spa-radise.

Unforgettable experiences here include viewing the round beautiful peaks where that beautiful cirrus cloud seems to kiss the mountaintop. This moment has the true star: the resort’s resident white peacock, whose elegant figure waits to show its plumage like a fan. The Tibetan bells resonated in such a powerful way that one could feel their depth amid the crisp, icy air filling up the innermost space. Sitting still, our teacher spoke of how these bells and gongs heal and, in turn, align and restore us to our very core with their deepest resonant sounds. I have been visiting The Farm at San Benito since its inception. Today, it has delicious new cuisines like vegan, vegetarian, pescetarian, and Mediterranean diets. Familiar flavors included healthy food from Alive! restaurant, a gourmet, plant-based dining establishment emphasizing mostly whole, living foods rich in nutrients. With uncompromised farm-to-table freshness, it sources ingredients from The Farm at San Benito’s organic garden.

Future residents will have direct access to The Farm at San Benito, making wellness not just a retreat but a way of life. The cicada-like sound provided an amorously charming atmosphere while we rested on the lovely lanai chairs at the beautiful Lakambini Pool Villa. It was pitch dark, yet we felt a warm light inside our hearts and souls. We felt like we were in the lush Amazon jungle, where the sound of silence brings joy within. Such creation is simply sublime, divine, for when you’re closest to nature, God is, indeed, never far away.
