Christine S. Dayrit believes that traveling is her passion and she was born to discover the world. She is the Philippines’ premier travel columnist. Her Rendezvous column in the Sunday edition of The Philippine STAR has become the bible of those who are also bitten by the travel bug.

Having visited all the continents, her “madness” is to stay in the most luxurious hotels and resorts. She advocates that it’s not just where you travel but whom you travel with that ultimately makes the significant difference. She was honored with the “Friend of Thailand” award for Journalism because of her extensive coverage of Thailand.

Christine has a penchant for combining her three passions in life: jewelry, travel, and film. A graduate of Boston University with a Master’s degree in Film Production, this certified cineaste views each destination like a film in motion.

She also took courses in Harvard, Yale, UCLA, the American Film Institute, and the Gemological Institute of America. Her education is put to good use as she is also the former Chairman of the Cinema Evaluation Board, the body that gives incentives to beautifully crafted Filipino films.

Her love for travel and film is served in the same dose as her love for fine jewels. In Miladay Jewels, where she is the vice president for marketing and public relations, Christine has her own collection of travel jewelry.
